A brochure website design project for leightango.com in collaboration with Samira Ashraf – Leigh-on-Sea, UK
Samira and Luis run Argentine Tango dance classes in Leigh-on-Sea with Practica and regular Milongas. So far they have been trying to build their community and communicate events and classes etc via Facebook. Now their booming little community of social dancers need a proper website to communicate their events and classes and showcase their portfolio of performances, dance experience and so on.
Brand designer, Peter Benton created the logo. Note how the little dot is incorporated throughout the website design.
Look ‘n Feel
This project was a delight to design. We had a huge selection of professional images to work with and a bespoke logo. Using the lovely deco style of the logo font and the tiny little dot detail I created clean elegant headings and layouts in a medium grey on white background with bright orange and yellow buttons and links. The effect perfectly presents the website's imagery. To bring all the images together I used overlays of texture and light with sepia and chocolate filters to invoke the feeling of leather, cigars, tango and a sort of passion that is immense but peaceful.
As Samira and Luis do not wish to manage the site content and feel confident communicating via facebook I added a function to embed a display all their facebook posts. The website includes all the necessary tools, as standard, to ensure speedy, efficient, legally compliant and safe delivery of all content from the server. Built on the WordPress platform.

"Rita did a wonderful job on my website – she takes the time to fully understand the brief and suggested some great ideas to improve on the initial concept I had. Nothing is too much trouble for her and she was always on hand to answer questions and develop ideas and content when I needed it most!"
